An unknown man is accused of passing a fraudulent check at a Lancaster bank, and Pennsylvania State Police have requested the public’s help in identifying him.
The man attempted to cash the check on February 21 around 5pm at a Fulton Bank branch in Lancaster. The counterfeit check was made to appear as if it was from the Meyerstown Borough account. According to the release, an examination of the fraudulent check and an actual check from the borough showed obvious differences between the two.
The transaction was unsuccessful and no funds were taken from the borough’s account. The released photos come from the bank’s security system.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Jorge DeJesus at the PSP Jonestown Barracks, (717) 865-2194.
