Cornwall Borough

Accident – Occurred Friday, 6:00 AM, on Rexmont Road. A Cornwall man reported his company truck owned by Warfel Construction was struck while parked in front of his residence. The vehicle sustained damage to the left read, tailgate, and rear bumper. The striking vehicle fled the scene but was located a short time later. Charges are pending against the driver of that vehicle.

East Hanover Township

This two-vehicle crash occurred on July 14 at 12:15pm as Unit 1, a 2005 Jeep Cherokee, was stopped facing south on the western shoulder of PA 934 prior to the one ramp for SR 22 West (Allentown Boulevard). Unit 1 pulled from a stopped position on the western shoulder of PA 934 without proper clearance. Unit 1 struck Unit 2, a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse, which was traveling south in the right lane on PA 934. At that time, Unit 1 and Unit 2 were able to move their vehicles from the roadway and came to final rest on the west bound shoulder of PA 934 facing south. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage to its front end. Unit 2 sustained minor damage to its passenger side door. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were unharmed. As a result of the crash, Unit 1 was towed from the scene by H&S Towing. Unit 2 was able to be driven from the scene. Assisted on scene by Ono Fire Company, for traffic management and fluid cleanup.

A 73 year old Lebanon woman pulled out of N. Cornwall Road into the path of a 22 year old Hummelstown man who was traveling east on Rocherty Road.  No injuries reported; both vehicles towed.

Traffic stop for inoperable registration lights; a 25 year old Middletown man was charged with Marijuana – Small Amount Personal Use and related traffic/vehicle violations.

North Londonderry

A 59 year old Harrisburg man was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic in connection with a crash that occurred in the 1000 Block of E. Main Street on 7/13/2019 around 3:19pm. The man drove across oncoming traffic and then left the roadway. He proceeded into a parking lot and struck a legally parked, unoccupied vehicle, which was well outside the lanes of travel. A utility pole was damaged during the incident and the man’s vehicle needed to be towed from the scene.

Millcreek Township

This two vehicle crash occurred on July 12 at 3:17pm in the area of Race Road south of its intersection with Norma Lane, Millcreek Township, Lebanon County. This crash occurred as both units were traveling north on Race Road. Unit 1, a Chevrolet Spark, attempted to overtake Unit 2, a 2008 Dodge Avenger driven by a 53 year old Womelsdorf woman, on the left. When Unit 1 was attempting to overtake Unit 2, Unit 1 contacted Unit 2 causing minor damage to the driver side front fender area of Unit 2. Unit 1 then fled north on Race Road. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP-Jonestown.

Union Township

On July 10 at 11:09am, PSP Jonestown investigated a report of counterfeit money being passed at Dollar General in Jonestown. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Karaman at PSP Jonestown (717) 865-2194 and Reference Incident Number PA 2019-927675.

West Cornwall Township

Accident – Occurred Thursday, 4:30 PM, on SR 322, east of Butler Road. Vehicles driven by a 65 year old Lebanon man; and a 61 year old Pittston man. No injuries. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Drug Charges/Trespass – Shelly Ann Nauss, age 41, 288 W. Main St., 2nd Fl., Hummelstown, was taken into custody Saturday night for an incident at the Governor Dick Tower, 3283 Pinch Road. Nauss was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal trespass. She was arraigned at Central Booking and placed in Lebanon County Prison on $2500 bail and a detainer from the Dauphin County Probation Department. Police were called to the Tower for a drug overdose at 11:53 PM and discovered Nauss’s companion, a 20 year old male from Hummelstown was in cardiac arrest at the top of the observation tower. Lawn EMS and Northwest EMS (Lancaster County) personnel were able to revive the subject by administering multiple doses of Narcan. He was subsequently lowered from the Tower by members of the Mount Gretna Fire Company and Cornwall Community Fire Company. Charges are pending against the male subject. South Londonderry Township PD also assisted.

DUI – Bonnie S. Bankes, age 61, 1629 Robin Rd., Lebanon, has been charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving for an incident May 8th, 7:59 PM, on SR 322 near Colebrook Road. BAC .159%
