Back in March, Inn 422 closed its doors and was sold. The historic building which sits at 1800 W, Cumberland St. in Lebanon has been remodeled and is seeing a rebirth as Misago Bistro.

Parts of the building’s facade received a facelift, but overall it still has a familiar look.

Inside, modern touches blend with traditional decor for a unique bistro feel.

The front desk team greets customers upon entry. We visited before the restaurant opened, hence the empty desk.

Now, on to the food! Misago Bistro offers Japanese-inspired cuisine that runs the gamut, from steaks to soups to hibachi to—of course—sushi.

According to the online menu, prices range from $2 for some soups to $49.95 for the “Love Boat,” an assortment of sushi and sashimi that is easily shareable.

Misago offers lunch specials Monday to Sunday from 11am to 3pm. During lunch, a two roll combo can be had for $8.95, or add another roll for $11.95. Dinner specials are also available, including hibachi, noodle soup, fried rice, and katsu platters.

Speaking of sushi, it’s masterfully prepared right before customers’ eyes. Special rolls on the menu include the Spider Roll, the Dragon Roll, the Rainbow Roll, and the Scorpion Roll. Traditional hand rolls, like Tuna and California Rolls, are available as well.

No Lebanon County specific rolls are offered yet, but don’t be surprised if that comes later—owner Caroline Lai told the Daily News that her family likes to craft restaurants to local tastes. Sweet Bologna Roll, anyone?

Food comes beautifully prepared, like this Hibachi combo with scallops and steak…

And this boat of sushi.

You’ll likely want some sort of beverage to accompany your meal, and Misago Bistro has you covered with alcohol on the menu. Inn 422’s liquor license was sold with the property, and together with the novelty of a sushi dinner, the restaurant has already proved a popular date night location.

There’s even a small, cozy bar that seats four people inside.
