The City of Lebanon’s National Night Out festivities took place at the Salvation Army last night, and LebTown was there to capture the scene.
Lebanon’s event was one of a half-dozen National Night Out gatherings held in Lebanon County on Tuesday night as part of the national annual event, meant to foster relationships between communities and law enforcement.
Food, games, and giveaways are typically part of the night, but every community does things just a little bit differently. (The Daily News attended Annville’s NNO event, and you can see pics of that one here .)

Ok, one more slice, for the road! Thanks, Jenn! Mayor Sherry Capello announcing the start of the bike raffle. Raffles are a big focus of every National Night Out, and last night’s City of Lebanon event was no exception. Here a lucky raffle winner accepts his new bike. And another new winner! Mayor Capello participating in dance classes with Mandy Iglesias (pink). Iglesias is a professional dancer. Although most of the other participants weren’t professionals, that didn’t hold anyone back from having fun! Iglesias’ specialty is salsa dancing. City Council member Cornell Wilson speaking with members of the community. Donna Williams of Lebanon Family Health Services was available inform guests of LFHS’ impact on the community and the many things they offer. Here she demonstrates the effects of smoking on lungs. Yolanda S. of the Salvation Army provided flyers from many local organizations as well as sold raffle tickets for prizes. Lebanon City Police Department Officers Adams and Underkoffler showcase street drugs and their negative effects. A primary focus of National Night Out is strengthening bonds between law enforcement and the communities they serve. The Salvation Army provided a food truck and fed the many guests at the event.
