An annual August tradition, the Mount Gretna Outdoor Art Show will see art lovers from all over converging in Mount Gretna on August 17 & 18.

2019 marks the 45th year for the Mount Gretna Outdoor Art Show, which over the years has racked up critical acclaim from artists’ trade publications. Proceeds from the show benefit the Pennsylvania Chautauqua.

This year, the show will feature over 250 vendors selected from nearly 500 applicants. Additionally, there will be an “Emerging Artists ” area for artists without previous experience at the Art Show.

A change from previous years is that all parking will be at Soldiers Field, eliminating the need for shuttles taking Art Show attendees to and from the parking lot at WellSpan Philhaven.

A gourmet food court will be open during the show featuring local restaurants and caterers including Urban Olive, Hess’s Barbecue Catering, Gosia’s Pierogies, What If … Hershey, The Hershey Pantry and Red Canoe Coffee.

Restaurants local to Mount Gretna, like The Jigger Shop, Porch & Pantry, Mt. Gretna Pizzeria, Gretna Hide-A-Way, and Timbers Dinner Theatre, will be open as well.

Mount Gretna Craft Brewery will be bringing some of their wares to the Show this year. Craft Beer and wine are going to be available in the Hall of Philosophy.

The Mount Gretna Outdoor Art Show is a rain or shine event and will be open from 9am to 6pm on Saturday, August 17 and 9am to 5pm on Sunday, August 18. It should also be noted that traffic will be altered for the event with Rt. 117 through Mount Gretna being closed from 6am on Friday to 8pm on Sunday.
