A four-alarm fire broke out at the Corvette Grille in Annville on Wednesday morning.

According to EMA logs, the first calls about the fire came in at 8:12am.

The response to the fire has caused the closure of both lanes of Main St. (Route 422) through Annville, and that closure is likely to last the remainder of the day.

Officials say the building has received extensive damage, and that the neighboring building also received smoke damage and possibly water damage.

According to a CBS 21 report, this was the largest fire Annville has seen in 10 years.

No serious injuries have been reported, although hot temperatures forced two firefighters to be treated for heat exhaustion.

Units from across Lebanon County and even some from Hershey and Hummelstown responded to the conflagration.

Local fire companies responding to the fire included Union Hose, Cleona, Bellegrove, Union Waterworks, Campbelltown, Palmyra, Neversink, Cornwall, Perseverance Jonestown, Mt. Gretna, Ono, Liberty, and South Lebanon.

Departments from Lancaster and Dauphin Counties also responded to the scene.

The Red Cross was also on scene to assist those who have been displaced due to the incident.

Locals have already begun to share their reactions about the Corvette Grille on social media. The restaurant, under new ownership (as touted on a sign still on the building), posted to social media this afternoon saying that they are “taking steps immediately to problem solve and rebuild.”
