City of Lebanon
A 54 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Disorderly Conduct and Harassment on 11-26-19 at 1000 hours on the 700 block of Harding Street.
Charges of Endangering the Welfare of Children, Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Restraint Systems – Child Booster Seats have been filed against Emllaly Aviles-Perez a 29 year old South Lebanon resident after investigation into a traffic accident that occurred on 10-30-19 at 1807 hours at 10th and Cumberland Streets. Aviles is accused of not securing three of the four children occupying the vehicle when she was involved in a motor vehicle accident. As a result of the accident a 7 year old sustained injures in the form of a fractured leg and fractured orbital bone. No one else was injured during the accident.
A charge of Theft has been filed against a 24 year old Middletown man after he received a service and failed to pay for the service. This incident occurred on 12-04-19 at 1930 hours on the 600 block of Cumberland Street. The merchant alleges the man attempted to pay by a credit card however it was declined. He said he would go to get the money and return but, never returned. Total loss to the merchant is $50.00.
Kenyatta Gilmore a 22 year old Harrisburg resident has been charged with Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Trespass and Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Mischief; Elvin Matute an 18 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Trespass, Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Mischief and Theft; a 15 year old male from Lebanon and a 16 year old male from Lebanon have both been charged with Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Trespass and Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Mischief after an incident on 12-05-19 at 2225 hours on the 1100 block of Chestnut Street. Police were dispatched to the report of a possible burglary on the 1100 block of Chestnut Street. Upon arrival officers observed flashlight motion within the residence. Officers had knowledge the homeowner was not present as this time. Officers made entry through the rear door and were able to apprehend the four males inside or as they ran out the front door. The two juveniles were transported to the Lebanon City Police Department and custody transferred to Lebanon County Juvenile Probation Officers. The two juveniles were detained. Gilmore and Matute were transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ John Ditzler. Gilmore was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $75,000 bail and Matute in lieu of $50,000.
Mark Andrews a 29 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Indecent Assault, Corruption of Minors, Sexual Abuse of Children after investigation into an incident occurring between 8-01-19 and 8-26-19 on the 400 block of Poplar Street. Police allege a 14 year old female had been sexually assaulted by Andrews after he picked her up, smoked marijuana together, videotaped her performing a sexual act then disseminated the video. Andrews was arrested on a warrant and transported to LCCB. He was arraigned before MDJ Kim Wolfe. Andrews was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Stephanie Schies a 33 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Theft, Conspiracy to Commit Theft, Simple Assault, Kidnapping, Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping, Terroristic Threats and Possession of Instruments of Crime; Michael-Alan McCoy a 21 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Kidnapping, Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping and Theft after an incident on 12-07-19 at 1110 hours on the 400 block of Chapel Street. Police allege the 22 year old victim met with McCoy to purchase marijuana, McCoy took her to meet with Schies, Schies is alleged to have taken the victim’s purse then McCoy and Schies forced the victim against her will to go to Walmart in North Lebanon Township where the victim was forced to sell her phone receiving $170.00 and made to provide the money to Schies. Schies is alleged to have photographed the victim’s driver’s license and threatened harm to her and her family if she reported the incident to police. Schies and McCoy were apprehended and transported to LCCB. They were arraigned before MDJ John Ditzler. Schies was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $100,000 bail and McCoy in lieu of $75,000 bail. The victim was not injured during this incident.
Jackson Township
In the commission of this crime on Dec. 7 at 6:55 p.m, the unidentified actor ordered food and beverages from Subway in Myerstown totaling $11.33. The unidentified male actor then rendered US Currency in the form of a counterfeit $100 bill along with .35 cents to pay for the order, receiving $89.02 in change. The unidentified actor proceeded to flee the scene by an unknown means of travel, in an unknown direction.
Myerstown Borough
This incident occurred as Pamela Wesner-Overly, a 39-year-old female, called in multiple prescriptions at Mike’s Pharmacy in Myerstown under three different names. She provided a valid DEA number for a physician at the Reading Hospital and was able to obtain multiple fraudulent prescriptions. Pharmacy staff became suspicious of the activity and contacted the physician. They confirmed he had not prescribed the medications and contacted PSP to report the illegal activity. The investigation revealed the prescriptions were not valid and a suspect was developed through surveillance footage and by information provided to the pharmacy by the suspect. The suspect was charged with the following through District Court 52-3-01: Acquisition or Obtaining Possession of a Controlled Substance by Misrepresentation, Fraud, Forgery, Deception or Subterfuge; Criminal Attempt – Obtaining possession of a Controlled Substance by Misrepresentation, Fraud, Forgery, Deception, or Subterfuge; Possession of Controlled Substances; and Identity Theft. A warrant was obtained and Wesner-Overly was taken into custody and arraigned by Judge Verna on Dec. 10. Unsecured bail was set at $25,000.
North Londonderry Township
North Londonderry Township Police charged Matthew Lee White of Lebanon with one county of third-degree felony retail theft after an incident that occurred at Walmart on Dec. 2, 2019 at 6:10 p.m. He took items valued at $722.
Upon the conclusion of an investigation, Corey Renninger, an 18-year-old Hummelstown man, was charged with two counts of retail theft from Walmart for an incident that occurred Nov. 19 at 6:46 p.m. He took items valued at $464.
South Londonderry Township
A 65-year-old Palmyra man of Four Little Acres, Palmyra, is charged with criminal mischief after taking four mums for local businesses and one residence on Oct. 30 at 3:49 a.m.
South Londonderry Township Police investigated a motor vehicle accident on Oct. 19 at approximately 11:49 p.m. The driver, Jeffrey Souder, a 42-year-old Palmyra man, was taken to the GSH for legal bloodwork. Upon receiving his result, it showed he had a 0.21% BAC at the time of the crash. The driver had crashed through a fence into a yard and was not wearing his seat belt.
South Londonderry Police filed a charge of harassment against an 18-year-old Palmyra man for throwing trash and/or rocks at a residence of another person for no legitimate reason.
On Nov. 24 at 7:38 p.m., a 45-year-old Palmyra woman was walking in the 2900 block of Horseshoe Pike manifestly under the influence of alcohol and was stumbling while walking. Her speech was slurred also.
On Dec. 4 at 6:34 a.m. a Steelton man’s Ford sedan became disabled at the intersection of Horseshoe Trail Lane and S. Forge Rd. The man left the vehicle there unattended. Later, a Palmyra man was driving south on S. Forge Rd in a Dodge Ram 1500 and struck the front end of the Ford sedan. The Palmyra man reported that the front end of the Ford was sticking out into his lane of travel. The Steelton man was charged for leaving a disabled vehicle in the roadway.
A one vehicle accident occurred on Nov. 7 at 4:21 a.m. at the intersection of Lawn and Colebrook Road in Palmyra. A 24-year-old Palmyra man was heading south on Lawn road when the vehicle’s tires locked up while coming to a stop. The vehicle struck a stone wall and was left disabled. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The man is charged with traveling too fast for wet roadway conditions.
Union Township
This crash occurred on Dec. 8 in the parking lot of Turkey Hill, located at 500 Jonestown Road, Union Township, Lebanon County. Operator 1 was backing Unit 1, a Ford F150, out of a parking stall and struck Unit 2, a Mazda 6 stopped to make entry onto State Route 72 North. After striking Unit 2, Operator 1 proceeded to flee the scene in Unit 1, east on Jonestown Road. Unit 1 sustained unknown damage as a result of this crash. Unit 2 sustained mild damage to its passenger side rear quarter panel at the 5 o’clock position as a result of this crash and was able to be driven from the scene in its normal customary manner. Operator 2 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash.
West Cornwall Township
Accident – Occurred Friday, 4:01 PM, on SR 322 west of Butler Road. Vehicles driven by a 58-year-old Hummelstown man; and a 48-year-old Palmyra woman. No injuries. Both vehicles drivable.
Accident – Occurred Thursday, 11:35 AM, on SR 322, east of Butler Road. A 28-year-old Cleona man was traveling east at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the westbound lane, sideswiped a utility pole and struck a PennDOT sign and a mailbox. His vehicle came to rest in a field. He sustained a minor injury but declined treatment at the scene. His vehicle was towed.
Accident – Occurred Thursday, 11:35 AM, on SR 322, east of Butler Road. A 60-year-old Newmanstown woman was traveling east and struck pieces of debris lying on the roadway from a previous accident. No injuries. Her vehicle sustained damage to the right front but was drivable.
Deer Struck – Unknown motorist struck a deer sometime Sunday or Monday on SR 117, east of Old Mine Road. Deer was deceased.
