Lebanon’s long-awaited Starbucks opened up just before the end of 2019. While we at LebTown prefer local establishments (like those featured in the new Java Journey), we wanted to share a quick peek at the new location.

The store sits at 1501 Quentin Rd next to the future site of MOD Pizza, which is still being worked on. Around the back there is a drive-thru lane for customers who want to get their beverages on the go. The storefront is located just a few dozen yards down the road from similarly popular restaurants like Panera and Chipotle. Both restaurants are also relative newcomers to the Lebanon area, having opened in the first half of 2017.

On the far wall, there’s a shelf of Starbucks blends and products.

On the inside, there’s plenty of space to sit, talk with friends, and get some work done (Starbucks is known for its WiFi service).

Besides the ever-popular coffee drinks that Starbucks built its franchise on, there’s also breakfast foods, bagels, pastries, and packaged coffee available for purchase. The selection of beverages goes beyond regular coffee to include iced tea, hot chocolate, and Starbucks’s trademark Frappucino, an iced coffee concoction topped with whipped cream, syrup, etc.

The store is open from 5:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekdays, 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturdays, and 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sundays. If you decide to head out, be aware that Starbucks locations are typically busier during the morning rush (7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.), as well as in the late afternoon (4:00 p.m. to 6 p.m.). Most pictures in this article were taken at around 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. midweek with few customers around, although a subsequent weekend stop-in at 3:00 p.m. found a fuller house. The location has quickly turned into a popular after-school hangout for local high schoolers.

If you’re not a fan of coffee, you can always grab a hot cocoa drink to warm up instead.
There’s a selection of pastries and other goodies available for sale at the counter.
Customers in a rush can use the drive-thru in the back.
