Bethel Township

PSP Jonestown responded for theft of stop signs that occurred between January 14 and February 4. PennDOT related that the stop sign had been stolen on three different occasions. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194 and refer to incident number 163268.

This crash occurred on February 12 at 8:43 a.m. as Unit 1, a 2012 Nissan Rogue driven by a 54-year-old Lebanon man, was traveling northbound on South Pine Grove Street. Unit 1 failed to stop at a clearly posted stop sign and continued into the intersection while attempting to make a left turn onto East Main Street. Unit 1 was struck by Unit 2, a 2010 Toyota Camry driven by a 36-year-old Fredericksburg, PA man, who was traveling eastbound upon East Main Street. Unit 1 having lost control then struck a residence and came to final rest on upon the northeast portion of the intersection.

City of Lebanon

A 34 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Drunkenness on 2-17-20 at 0049 hours on the 300 block of N. Lincoln Avenue.

A 42 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after an incident on 1-17-20 at 0945 hours on the 600 block of Lehman Street.

Heriberto Rodriguez a 30 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Simple Assault (domestic violence related) after an incident on 2-14-20 at 2310 hours on the 00 block of Tiffany Lane. Rodriguez is accused of causing minor injury to the 30 year old victim’s neck; she did not require medical treatment. Rodriguez was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ John Ditzler. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail. This entry was updated to reflect that Rodriguez was released upon posting bail.

Charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Obedience to Traffic Control Devices have been filed against Conor Gilliand a Kingston, MA resident after a traffic stop on 1-19-20 at 0155 hours on the 600 block of N. 10th Street.

A charge of Retail Theft has been filed against a 48 year old Lebanon man after begin accused of taking merchandise totaling $89.96 from the store at 101 N. 11th Ave. on 2-16-20 at 1557 hours.

A 23 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Drunkenness and Criminal Mischief on 2-15-20 at 2020 hours on the 00 block of N. 5th Street.

A 30 year old Harrisburg woman has been cited for Retail Theft on 2-14-20 at 0808 hours at 835 Bowman Street. Harris is accused of taking merchandise from the store totaling $43.46.

Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against Cory Barr a 30 year old Lebanon resident after assisting Lebanon County Probation Officers on 12-05-19 at 1927 hours on the 00 block of Guildford Street.

Michael Cotton a 39 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with a Protection From Abuse Order violation after investigation into an incident on 2-13-20 on the 200 block of S. Gannon Street. Cotton is accused of making contact with the victim via telephone. Cotton was apprehended and arraigned before Judge Bradford Charles. Cotton was released on ROR bail.

Jorge Avila a 29 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Simple Assault (domestic violence related) after an incident on 2-17-20 at 1100 hours on the 300 block of N. 7th Street. He is accused of punching the 30 year old victim multiple times on her head and body causing minor injury. He was apprehended and transported to LCCF. Avila was arraigned before MDJ John Ditzler and incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $7,500 bail.

Cornwall Borough

Ordinance Violation – A 45-year-old Cornwall woman was cited for a Borough ordinance violation regarding an abandoned vehicle along North Cornwall Road on January 10.

East Hanover Township

On February 10 at 1:46 p.m., Troopers stopped a 2019 Nissan Altima after observing numerous traffic violations. Upon contacting the driver, Zeinab Bruce, a 28-year-old Dumfries, VA woman, probable cause of illegal drug activity was developed and a search of the vehicle was conducted. Marijuana and cocaine were seized during the search, which the driver admitted to possessing. The driver was arrested and charged with drug possession and related offenses.

This crash occurred Feb. 18 at 3:23 p.m. on Interstate 81 South at mile marker 84. This crash occurred as Operator 1, a 50-year-old Herndon, VA man, was traveling south on Interstate 81 South in Unit 1, a 2009 International Harvester Prostar Eagle, traveling too fast for conditions. Operator 1 lost control of Unit 1, subsequently striking a guide rail on the right shoulder of Interstate 81 South. After striking the guide rail, Unit 1 traversed across both travel lanes of Interstate 81 South and into the center median, striking an embankment. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage to its front bumper, hood, fenders, and axle at the 1 o’clock and 11 o’clock positions as a result of this crash and was towed from the scene by H&S Towing. Operator 1 sustained a mild right arm injury as a result of this crash and was transported to Hershey Medical Center for further evaluation. Operator 1 was cited with PA VC 3361 (Driving Too Fast for Conditions) and 3309 (Roadways Laned for Traffic).

On February 19 at approximately 5:50 p.m. the Pennsylvania State Police Jonestown barracks conducted a traffic stop on Jonestown Road, east of Racehorse Drive in Union Township. During a probable cause search of the 2015 Dodge Intrepid, Troopers located a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia. The operator, a 34-year-old Annville man, was charged accordingly.

Jonestown Borough

On February 16 at 1:20 a.m., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop at E. Market St. and W. Market St. The operator of a 2016 Dodge Caravan, Jordan Stites, a 26-year-old Myerstown man, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Stites was taken into custody and transported for a chemical breath test. Charges will be filed with MDJ 52-3-03.

North Londonderry Township

On February 18 at 3:00 p.m., the North Londonderry Township Police Department investigated a motor vehicle accident at Railroad Street and Elm Street. The accident occurred when a 39-year-old Palmyra woman proceeded from a stop sign without clearance, striking a vehicle operated by a 38-year-old Palmyra woman traveling south on Railroad Street. No injuries were reported at the scene.

On February 10 at 7:51 p.m., a 37-year-old Elizabethtown woman was traveling north on N. Forge Road and lost control of her vehicle, striking a street sign and building. she failed to remain on scene and contact police. She was later transported to the Hershey Medical Center for minor injuries. The case is pending.

Ricardo Rodriguez-Serrano, a 32-year-old Lebanon man, was arrested in connection with a retail theft that occurred at Walmart on January 27 at 2:15 p.m. Rodriguez-Serrano selected a car seat once inside the store, opened the box, and the began filling it with store merchandise. Rodriguez-Serrano re-secured the car seat box and then left the store without paying for $441.91 in Walmart merchandise.

South Lebanon Township

On Feb. 10 at 4:41 p.m., PSP Jonestown attempted to serve an arrest warrant on an individual at E. Cumberland St. and Oak St. Upon arrival, the wanted subject was located. While on scene another individual was found to be wanted, Kristina Caster-Wolfe, a 35-year-old Lebanon woman. Search incident to arrest yielded drugs and drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed at the appropriate District Magistrate.

Union Township

In the nature of this incident on February 18 at 5:30 p.m., the victim, 82-year-old Jonestown man Eugene Schamber, was working with a metal grinder in his home garage’s workshop. The grinder wheel exploded and sent pieces of shrapnel in multiple directions. The victim’s legs were struck by pieces of the shrapnel. The victim subsequently succumbed to the injuries sustained from the shrapnel. EMT’s from the Fort Indiantown Gap Fire Department, Ono Life Lion, and Annville Life Lion all assisted at the scene.
