Bethel Township

This crash occurred on Feb. 20 at 10:32 a.m. on State Route 343 just north of Shirksville Road, Bethel Township, Lebanon County. This crash occurred as Operator 1, a 35-year-old Harrisburg man, was traveling in Unit 1, a 2016 Chevrolet Corvette, south on State Rout 343. Operator 1 related to have lost control of Unit 1 after swerving to avoid a small animal on the roadway. As Operator 1 lost control of Unit 1, Unit 1 proceeded to spin counter-clockwise as it crossed the double yellow line and struck a guide rail on the northbound shoulder of State Route 343. After striking the guide rail, Unit 1 proceeded to travel east, beyond the guide rail and into a ditch. Unit 1 sustained heavy and disabling damage to its rear bumper, quarter panel, and passenger side door at its 5 o’clock position and was towed from the scene by Motter’s Towing. Operator 1 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash.

On Jan. 24 at 5:25 p.m. at mile marker 59 on I-78 East, a traffic stop conducted by members of PSP Jonestown yielded the seizure of 25 $200 Mastercard Vanilla Gift Cards and 8 $200 Visa Vanilla Gift Cards. This case remains under further investigation.

City of Lebanon

Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against a 51 year old Lebanon man after contact with police on 1-17-20 at 1427 hours on the 600 block of Walton Street.

A 30 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Disorderly Conduct on 2-15-20 at 0542 hours on the 1100 block of Willow Street.

A 42 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Drunkenness on 2-20-20 at 1940 hours on the 200 block of East Cumberland Street.

A charge of Disorderly Conduct has been filed against a 16 year old male from Richland after an incident on 1-23-20 at 1115 hours at 400 S. 8th Street.

Jorge Nieves-Roman a 48 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Retail Theft on 2-20-20 at 1613 hours at 835 Bowman Street. Nieves is accused of taking merchandise from a store totaling $162.54 without paying for said merchandise. He was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ John Ditzler. He was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $7,500 bail.

Michael Saunders a 37 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Designer Drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after assisting Lebanon County Probation Officers on 2-20-20 at 1828 hours on the 900 block of Lehman Street. Saunders was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ John Ditzler. He was incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $25,000 bail.

East Hanover Township

On Feb. 19 at approximately 5:50 p.m. the Pennsylvania State Police Jonestown barracks conducted a traffic stop on Jonestown Road, east of Racehorse Drive in Union Township. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, Troopers located a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia. The operator, a 34-year-old Annville man, was charged accordingly.

Jackson Township

On Feb. 18 at 9:30 a.m. a traffic stop was conducted on a 2003 Ford Mustang that was traveling at 57 MPH in a posted 35 MPH zone in the area of Tulpehocken Rd. and E. Main Ave. Upon initial contact with the operator, a 48-year-old Stouchsburg man who was not named in the release, an odor of burnt marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded marijuana related paraphernalia. Charges to be prepared and filed with MDJ 52-3-01.

This crash occurred on Feb. 23 at 11:51 p.m. as Unit 1, a 2007 Toyota Corolla driven by a 44-year-old Lebanon woman, was traveling south on SR 72 passing Camp Meeting road. While Unit 1 was traveling south a deer entered the roadway from the east and Operator 1 was unable to avoid it, striking it with its 12 o’clock position. Unit 1 continued to travel south after initial impact and came to rest facing south partially blocking the southbound lane of travel. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage from this impact. Operator 1 reported no injuries as a result of this impact. Assisted on scene by Northern Lebanon Fire Police and Joe Mays towing.

North Lebanon Township

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Noah Branch – age 20 – Lebanon, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stopped in the 1100 block of E. Lehman Street on January 26, 2020.

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, RETAIL THEFT: Rubiel Velez-Roldan – age 31 – Lebanon, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and retail theft after an incident that occurred on February 18, at Sunset Outlet, 1650 N. 7th Street, Lebanon.

On Feb. 22 at 2:02 a.m. Troopers of PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop on a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer that was traveling in the oncoming traffic lane. Upon initial contact the operator, a 21-year-old Cleona man who was not named in the police release, admitted to drinking prior to driving and exhibited signs of impairment. The operator was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. Charges to be prepared and filed with MDJ 52-3-03 pending lab results.

South Lebanon Township

Accident – One vehicle roll-over accident occurred in the 1600 block of Prescott Road on February 22 at 1:07 p.m. The driver of the vehicle was a 25-year-old Lebanon woman. She stated there was a problem with the steering, causing her to lost control which in turn, caused the vehicle to overturn. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Harassment – This incident occurred on Jan. 1 at 11:00 p.m. as an inmate claimed he was assaulted by a corrections officer. Upon investigation it was learned an assault never took place.

Union Township

On Feb. 22 at approximately 9:28 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police conducted a traffic stop on Patricia Zeigler, a 42-year-old Fredericksburg woman. During the course of the traffic stop, the operator was believed to be impaired. The operator was subsequently arrested for DUI. Appropriate charges have been filed.

West Lebanon Township

RETAIL THEFT: An 18-year-old Palmyra man was charged with retail theft after an incident that occurred at Boscov’s, Lebanon Valley Mall, after failing to pay for merchandise valued at $82 on February 19, 2020.

RETAIL THEFT, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Yamilez Davila – Age 22, Lebanon, was charged with 3 counts of retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia after incidents that occurred at Boscov’s, Lebanon Valley Mall on February 17 and 19, 2020, after failing to pay for merchandise totaling $363.

RETAIL THEFT: Evelyn Florencio – Age 35 – 57 Highland Glen, Lebanon, PA was charged with retail theft after an incident that occurred at Boscov’s, Lebanon Valley Mall on February 19, after failing to pay of merchandise valued at $355.
