Jackson Township

Vehicle Crash – On April 6, 2020 at 8:07 a.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Operator 1, a 34 year old Myerstown man, was stopped at a stop sign on South Ramona Rd., preparing to cross over/through the intersection with King St., to continue in a south direction. Unit 2, a 2000 Chrysler 300, driven by Operator 2, a 77 year old Lebanon woman, accompanied by Passenger 2, a 82 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling east on King St. approaching the intersection with South Ramona. Unit 1 pulled out from the stop sign, across the westbound lane of King St., and directly into the path of eastbound Unit 2. Unit 1 applied the brakes and to avoid a collision, as Unit 2 exited the roadway via the south shoulder. Unit 2 continued traveling in a southeast direction for approximately 50 feet before coming to its position of final rest in a cornfield. Unit 1 came to its position of final rest facing south in the westbound lane of King St. There was no collision as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and reported no injuries. Operator 2 and Passenger 2 were not wearing their seatbelts. Passenger 2 sustained injuries and was transported to Reading Hospital for injuries sustained during the crash. Both Unit 1 and Unit 2 were driven from the scene. Assisted on scene by Tpr. Rudy and Myerstown Ambulance Co.

Harassment – On April 8, 2020 at 10:48 p.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to Golf Rd. for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, investigation revealed the dispute turned physical. Both involved individuals, a 62 year old Myerstown woman and a 17 year old Myerstown female, were cited with Harassment via Nontraffic Citation.

North Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – On April 7, 2020 at 3:46 p.m., an accident occurred as a 41 year old Lebanon man was traveling east on Walnut St. when he struck the rear of a 73 year old Lebanon man as the older man was attempting to turn into a driveway. One vehicle was towed. No injuries were reported.

Non-injury Vehicle Crash – On April 7, 2020 at 2:44 p.m., a non-injury crash occurred in the rear parking lot of Lowe’s, located at 1755 Quentin Rd. An 89 year old Lebanon man reversed into a stack of mulch. No injuries were reported. Vehicle driven from scene.

Curfew Ordinance – On April 8, 2020 at 3:35 a.m., two 15 year old male juveniles of Lebanon were cited for North Cornwall Township Curfew Ordinance. One juvenile was cited for driving without a license after they used the family’s car to drive to a fast-food restaurant.

North Londonderry Township

On April 13 at 11:50 a.m., a 29 year old Palmyra man was traveling east on Ridge Road and failed to stop for the stop sign at Forge Road. His vehicle struck a utility pole at the southeast corner of the intersection. No injuries were reported at the scene. Met-Ed responded to replace the pole.

A 37 year old Palmyra woman was charged with confinement of dogs and no dog license after an incident on March 17 at 5:26 p.m. where two of her dogs left her property and attacked two persons.

North Londonderry Township Police cited a 39 year old Palmyra woman with seven summary retail thefts for incidents occurring between January 28 and April 4. The woman was using self-checkout registers and failed to pay for 33 items totaling $202.20.

Union Township

Vehicle Crash – On April 6, 2020 at 6:39 a.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2003 Mercedes-Benz ML350, driven by Operator 1, 23 year old Milford man, traveled West in the right lane of I-78 nearing mile marker .8. Unit 1 then entered the left lane and swerved onto the left shoulder. At this point, Unit 1 swerved violently to the right and traveled across the left lane and into the right lane of I-78 West. Unit 1 continued in this manner and traveled across the on ramp of I-81 North. Unit 1 then traveled onto the right shoulder and continued off the roadway. At this point, Unit 1 is facing north and sliding northwest. Once Unit 1 leaves the roadway, Unit 1 traveled diagonally in a northwest direction leaving 37 feet 2 inches of tire marks in the grass portion which led to final rest. Unit 1 then collided with a large tree with its driver side door. Unit 1 came to final rest still in contact with said tree, facing north. Operator 1 sustained what looked to be major injuries. Once Operator 1 was mechanically extracted from Unit 1, Operator 1 was immediately transported to Hershey Medical Center by EMT’s from First Aid and Safety Patrol.

West Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – On March 29, 2020 at 2:20 p.m., this accident occurred on SR 117 at the SR 72/322 underpass. A 16 year old Schaefferstown female was traveling east on SR 117, lost control of her vehicle and struck an embankment. No injuries were reported. Vehicle was drivable after being pulled back onto the roadway.

Deer Struck – A 26 year old Lebanon man struck a deer on March 31, 2020 at 10:30 p.m. on South Butler Rd. near Old Mine Rd. No injuries were reported. Vehicle sustained minor damage but was drivable. The deer fled.

Deer Struck – A 22 year old Fredericksburg woman struck a deer on April 6, 2020 at 8:16 p.m. on SR 72 near the Lancaster County line. The woman was not injured; her vehicle was drivable. The deer had to be destroyed.
