Heidelberg Township

Vehicle Accident – On May 1, 2020 at 12:23 p.m., this crash occurred as an unknown vehicle collided with a telephone wire hanging across the road at the intersection of SR 897 and Millbach Rd. The wire was attached to a house on the south side of the roadway. The wire was pulled out of the house. The wire had a metal piece that struck Unit 2’s driver’s side rear window causing it to shatter. Unit 2 was a 2005 Toyota Sienna.

Jackson Township

DUI – On May 1, 2020 at 7:44 a.m., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop on a 1991 Chevrolet K10 at West Washington Ave. and North Ramona Rd. for a traffic violation. Through the investigation, drugs and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle. The suspect admitted to using drugs prior to driving. The suspect was taken into custody for DUI. Charges will be filed at a later date.

Lebanon City

Drug Possession – Eric Hitz, a 28 year old Lebanon resident, has been cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after an incident on March 10, 2020 at 2:21 p.m. on the 1200 block of Cumberland St.

Drug Possession – Charges of Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and Park Rules and Regulations have been filed against a 16 year old male from Lebanon and Marissa Trantham, a 19 year old Lebanon resident, after contact with police on May 8, 2020 at 10:13 p.m. on the 700 block of North Hanover St.

Drug Possession – Charges of Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against Alyssa Snyder, a 23 year old Lebanon resident, after contact with police on May 2, 2020 at 10:33 p.m. on the 700 block of South Broad St.

Accident Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle – A charge of Accident Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle has been filed against a 20 year old South Lebanon Twp. resident after investigation into a minor traffic accident on March 20, 2020 at 4:08 p.m. at North 12th St. and Maple St. Swisher is accused of leaving the scene of the accident. No injuries were reported.

Stolen Property, Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended, Accidents – Charges of Receiving Stolen Property, Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury, Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury While not Properly Licensed, Immediate Notice of Accident to Police Department, Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked DUI related and Traffic Control Signals have been filed against Thomas Manos, an 18 year old South Lebanon Twp. resident, after investigation into an accident which occurred on April 22, 2020 at 7:55 p.m. at South 5th Ave. and East Walnut St. Manos is accused of operating a motor vehicle south on South 5th Ave., without a license and proceeding through a red traffic signal striking a vehicle traveling east on East Walnut St. The occupants of the vehicle were injured and treated at a local medical facility. Manos is accused of fleeing from the scene on foot, only to be apprehended by witnesses a short distance from the scene in South Lebanon Twp. Police learned the vehicle Manos was driving had been stolen from South Lebanon Twp.

Drug Possession – Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against Luis Burgos, a 41 year old Lebanon resident, after contact with police on April 27, 2020 at 3:02 p.m. on the 800 block of Coleman’s Circle.

Drug Possession – Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against Daniel Maldonado, a 39 year old Lebanon resident, after contact with police on May 2, 2020 at 10:20 p.m. on the 1200 block of Cumberland St.

Millcreek Township

Child Abuse – On May 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., PSP Jonestown received a ChildLine investigation involving a possible abuse to a child on Stricklerstown Rd. The investigation is ongoing.

Myerstown Borough

Theft – On May 1, 2020 at 11:40 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to South Railroad St. for a stolen package. The victim, a 23 year old Lebanon woman, reported a package was delivered to their residence. The victim reported the package was not on their porch when they went to retrieve it.

North Lebanon Township

Disorderly Conduct – A 26 year old Middletown man was charged with Disorderly Conduct after an incident that occurred on the 2100 block of Hill St. on May 9, 2020.

Drug Possession – On May 13, 2020 at 12:14 p.m., PSP Jonestown barracks conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Chrysler on East Lehman St. and North 15th Ave. Troopers observed criminal activity and a probable cause search was completed. Troopers located drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle during the search. State Police are filing appropriate charges.

Swatara Township

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On May 15, 2020 at approximately 8:26 p.m., a Lebanon man and his wife, a 34 year old Lebanon woman, got into a verbal altercation at the man’s’ residence, located at the 1900 block of Grace Ave. The two entered Ashley’s vehicle, a 2006 Cadillac, in the driveway of the residence to talk things out. While in the vehicle, a subsequent verbal altercation ensued. The verbal altercation escalated when the man punched and cracked the windshield of the woman’s car. The man exited the vehicle and returned to his residence. Charges are to be filed through MDJ Wolfe upon receipt of the estimated cost of damage. (Editor’s note: A summary charge of criminal mischief was filed.)

Statutory Sexual Assault – This incident occurred as Kristoffer Hexter, a Jonestown resident, sexually assaulted a juvenile victim while she stayed at his residence in Jonestown for almost two months. The juvenile was 14 years old and the accused was 37 years old at the time.
On May 13, 2020, the following charges were filed against the accused at District Court 52-3-03: Statutory Sexual Assault; Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Person Less Than 16 Years of Age; Aggravated Indecent Assault; Corruption of Minors; Sexual Abuse of Children – Possession of Child Pornography; Unlawful Contact with a Minor; and Indecent Assault. An arrest warrant was obtained and the accused was subsequently taken into custody. He was taken to Lebanon County Central Booking and will be arraigned by District Justice Kim Wolfe later today.

Physical Assault – This crime occurred on May 16, 2020 at 8:50 p.m. as Ryan Shenk, a 29 year old Jonestown man, got into a verbal altercation with his mother, Susan Shenk, a 60 year old Jonestown woman, on the 700 block of North Lancaster St. Ryan pushed Susan onto a table inside the residence and subsequently drug her by her leg and pants. Ryan fled the residence on his bike after the assault. Ryan Shenk was taken into custody and charges were prepared through MDJ 52-3-03. (Editor’s note: Charges of Simple Assault and Harassment were filed.)

Vehicle Accident – On May 16, 2020 at 1:10 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2010 Ford Escape, driven by Operator 1, a 21 year old Jonestown woman, was traveling south on Lt. Mountain Rd., approximately 200 yards south of Cemetery Rd. Operator 1 was negotiating a right curve when she became distracted by an insect inside her vehicle. Unit 1 left the roadway, striking a fence on the east side of the road. Unit 1 sustained severe front end damage. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by Eash’s Towing. Operator 1 was not injured.

Union Township

Corruption of Minors – On May 13, 2020 at 8:35 p.m., members from PSP Jonestown started investigating allegations about a sexual assault on a male juvenile that occurred approximately three years ago. The investigation is ongoing.

Vehicle Accident – On May 15, 2020 at 7:54 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1 was traveling east along Fisher Ave. Unit 1 attempted to turn south onto Bordnersville Rd. and struck a MET-ED telephone pole. Unit 1 was described as a white tractor trailer by witnesses on scene. Unit 1 fled east on Fisher Ave. after striking the pole.

Assault With Weapon, Fleeing and Eluding, DUI, Drug Possession – This incident occurred on May 13, 2020 at 5:03 p.m. In the commission of this crime, a trooper from PSP Jonestown observed an orange 1994 Ford Ranger pickup, operated by Dillan Moyer, a 27 year old Grantville man, traveling north on SR 72 in Union Twp. near the PSP Jonestown station. The trooper was familiar with the pickup, which displayed the numbers of “01” on both doors, due to a BOLO being put out on the pickup after it evaded the Manheim Boro. Police Department in a pursuit on May 8, 2020. As the trooper began to follow, Moyer began to flee at a high rate of speed and pass vehicles in an unsafe manner using the opposing lane of traffic. A vehicle pursuit was initiated at that time.

The pursuit continued on to SR 443 and then on to Moonshine Rd. A rolling roadblock was attempted by troopers on Moonshine Rd. Moyer evaded the rolling roadblock and continued to flee on to Tomstown Rd. In the area of Cold Spring Rd., Moyer briefly lost control of his pickup and became disabled in a ditch. Moyer reversed his pickup into the front of a pursuing trooper’s patrol vehicle and began to flee again on Moonshine Rd. towards Ft. Indiantown Gap. A Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) authorization was granted as Moyer continued to flee south on SR 934. A pursuing trooper conducted a successful PIT maneuver on Moyer’s pickup on SR 934 in the area of Boundary Rd. During the PIT, Moyer’s pickup crashed through a guide rail and landed on its roof down an embankment. Moyer was taken into custody after a short struggle with arresting officers.
Moyer admitted to smoking marijuana and fleeing due to him having a marijuana pipe and marijuana in the vehicle. Moyer was evaluated by EMTs at the scene and transported to the Hershey Medical Center to be evaluated for suspected minor injuries. A DUI blood draw was also conducted at the hospital.

A criminal complaint included the charges of Aggravated Assault on LEO, Fleeing and Eluding, Simple Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Resisting Arrest, DUI Drugs, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and numerous traffic related violations was completed on Moyer. Moyer will be transported to the Lebanon County Central Booking Center for arraignment on those charges upon his release from the hospital.
No law enforcement officers or civilians were injured during the pursuit.

West Lebanon Township

Theft – Aaron Foster, a 38 year old Lebanon man, was charged with Theft after an incident that occurred on April 29, 2020 after the theft of masks valued at $1,240 from a business located at 1621 Willow St.
