Dear Editor,

WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital’s 1,086 dedicated staff members proudly rose to the occasion to support Lebanon County through the early phases of the COVID-19 pandemic. While much of the focus and efforts were behind the scenes and largely invisible to our community, the team demonstrated a competent and compassionate resolve to meet the needs of Lebanon County. We can all be thankful for the skill and dedication of these professionals.

We are so grateful for the tremendous outpouring of support and encouragement from our community shown toward our team. Whether it was in the form of hand-written notecards and letters from kids and adults, meal donations from businesses and individuals or the overall appreciation shown to our entire team, we extend a heartfelt thank you to Lebanon County. Thank you for placing your trust in our people, professionals one and all, whose spirit to serve was uncompromised. We are deeply moved by the generosity and care extended by many in our community.

This crisis has revealed a deepened sense of commitment by our entire team to serve the current and future needs of Lebanon County. We have become a better organization as a result of the teamwork required to meet the challenges of COVID-19, and we welcome the opportunity to continue to serve our friends and neighbors. Our lights are always on and our doors are always open.

With gratitude,

Thomas R. Harlow
