Bethel Township

Vehicle Accident – This crash occurred on May 25, 2020 at 1:11 p.m. as Unit 1, a 2014 Chevrolet Captiva, was stopped at a stop sign on the I 78 offramp, preparing to cross over/through the intersection with SR 22 to continue in a south direction. Unit 2, a 2018 Kymco Agility, was traveling eastbound on the south shoulder of SR 22, approaching the intersection with Hamlin Rd. Unit 1 pulled out from the stop sign, across the westbound and eastbound lanes of SR 22, and directly into the path of eastbound Unit 2, where impact occurred between the front end of Unit 1 and the front of Unit 2. Unit 1 sustained scratches to the front bumper. Unit 2’s kickstand was broken. Operator 1 was wearing a seatbelt at the time of this crash. Operator 2 was wearing a DOT approved motorcycle helmet and all required equipment at the time of this crash and reported no injuries. No airbags were deployed as a result of this crash. Both Operators exchanged information prior to PSP Jonestown Trooper Grondziowski’s arrival on scene. Assisted on scene by Trooper Krukowski.

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On May 18, 2020 at 5:37 a.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to West Main St. for slashed tires. Upon further investigation, it was discovered a juvenile male walking with two females slashed the driver’s side tires of the Victim’s vehicle, a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze, at approximately 3:30 a.m. The Victim was a 35 year old Fredericksburg woman. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown.

Drug Possession – On May 25, 2020 at 7:01 p.m., State Police stopped a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer at Airport Rd. and Village Dr. after observing an equipment violation. Investigation revealed a Passenger, Bonita Armolt, a 50 year old Fredericksburg woman, to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending.

DUI – On May 15, 2020 at approximately 11:52 p.m., troopers were conducting routine patrol heading south on SR 343, when they conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Chevrolet with a male operator. Signs of impairment were observed and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing was conducted. Troopers took the male into custody under the suspicion of driving under the influence. The investigation is currently ongoing.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle Accident – This crash occurred on May 26, 2020 at 3:32 p.m. along SR 22 near Bullfrog Rd. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2007 Acura TL, was traveling east on SR 22 and Unit 2, a 2004 Jeep Cherokee, was traveling west on SR 22. Unit 1 attempted to perform a U-Turn onto the westbound lanes of SR 22. Unit 1 pulled into the westbound lane as Unit 2 was approaching. Impact occurred as Unit 2 struck the passenger’s side of Unit 1. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by Porrini’s Auto. Operator 2 was transported by family for a possible broken wrist. Assisted on scene by Fort Indiantown Gap Fire Dept., Penn State Life Lion, and Porrini’s Auto.

Jackson Township

Harassment – On May 13, 2020 at 4:00 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to James Aly. and Creamery St. for a domestic dispute between brothers, a 16 year old Myerstown male and an 18 year old Myerstown man. Upon arrival, it was reported the two brothers were working on a vehicle in the backyard. A verbal argument ensued. One brother threw a wood piece at the other brother. In return, the other brother shoved the brother who threw the wood. Charges were filed.

Receiving Stolen Property – This incident occurred on May 25, 2020 at 7:27 p.m. In the commission of this crime, a traffic stop was initiated on West Lincoln Ave. and West Washington Ave. on a 2018 Nissan Sentra, which was recently spray painted teal and black, for having an obscured registration plate. Upon further investigation, the Nissan was discovered to be a Hertz rental vehicle entered by the Wyomissing Police Dept. in Berks Co. as stolen on May 13, 2020. The Operator, Selina Sheidy, was taken into custody without incident. A criminal complaint charging Sheidy with Receiving Stolen Property was completed. Sheidy was transported to Lebanon County Central Booking where she was arraigned on $20,000 monetary bail.

Lebanon City

Disorderly Conduct, Curfew Violations – A 17 year old male from North Cornwall Twp. has been cited for a Curfew violation on May 24, 2020 at 3:47 a.m. at North 7th St. and Mary St. A 17 year old female from Lebanon has been cited for a Curfew violation and Disorderly Conduct during the same incident.

Park Rules and Regulations, Curfew Violation – A 17 year old male from Lebanon has been cited for Park Rules and Regulations and Curfew after contact with police on May 25, 2020 at 3:00 a.m. on the 500 block of East Canal St.

Public Drunkenness – A 48 year old Lebanon resident has been cited for Public Drunkenness on May 24, 2020 at 4:15 p.m. on the 800 block of Union St.

Public Drunkenness – A 32 year old Lebanon resident has been cited for Public Drunkenness on May 24, 2020 at 1:13 a.m. on the 200 block of Schneider Dr.

Harassment – A 33 year old North Lebanon Twp. resident has been cited for Harassment after an incident on May 22, 2020 at 7:50 p.m. at North 8th Ave. and East Lehman St.

Public Drunkenness – A 39 year old Lebanon resident has been cited for Public Drunkenness on May 14, 2020 at 10:25 p.m. on the 400 block of North 9th St.

Receiving Stolen Property – A charge of Receiving Stolen Property has been filed against Omar Rodriguez, a 25 year old Lebanon resident, after investigation into a theft on May 17, 2020 at 12:46 p.m. at Jones St. and Arnold St. Rodriguez is accused of possessing a PA license plate that had been stolen from another vehicle.

Protection From Abuse Order Violation – Angel Afanador, a 24 year old Lebanon resident, has been charged with a Protection From Abuse Order violation after an incident on May 24, 2020 at 7:56 p.m. on the 400 block of East Weidman St. Afanador is accused of driving past the victim’s home and yelling at her in violation of the PFA. The 30 year old victim was not injured during the contact with Afanador.

Harassment – A 49 year old Lebanon resident has been cited for Harassment on May 24, 2020 at 9:41 p.m. on the 700 block of Chestnut St.

Millcreek Township

Harassment – On May 26, 2020 at 1:13 a.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to North Sheridan Rd. for a report of a physical altercation. Upon arrival, investigation revealed the Suspect grabbed the Victim, an 18 year old Newmanstown man, by the neck. The Suspect was also in possession of marijuana. Charges are pending.

Myerstown Borough

Harassment – On May 25, 2020 at 9:13 a.m., this incident occurred on East Richland Ave. as a 12 year old male got into a physical altercation with his parents, a 43 year old Myerstown woman and a 53 year old Myerstown man, due to him getting angry over being scolded. No injuries occurred during this incident.

South Lebanon Township

Theft – On May 26, 2020 at approximately 12:23 p.m., an inmate, incarcerated in the Lebanon County Prison, called PSP Jonestown Station to report unauthorized purchases made on his debit card. The investigation is currently ongoing.

Swatara Township

Vehicle Accident – This crash occurred on May 25, 2020 at 3:59 p.m. as Unit 1, a 2010 Dodge Avenger, was traveling north along South Lancaster St. Unit 1 attempted a turn onto Quarry Rd. to avoid the road closed sign along South Lancaster St. Unit 1 drove off the roadway and struck a stop sign and telephone pole. No injuries were reported on scene. Unit 1 was towed by Joe May Towing. Swatara Twp. Fire Department assisted on scene.

Vehicle Accident – This crash occurred on May 22, 2020 at 3:49 p.m. as Unit 2, a 2007 Ford Mustang, driven by Operator 2, a 24 year old Frackville man, and Unit 3, a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia, driven by Operator 3, a 35 year old Philadelphia man, were stopped in a traffic backlog of a previous crash on I 81 southbound at mile marker 92.7. Unit 1, a 2014 Volvo D13, driven by Operator 1, a 62 year old Houston, TX man, was traveling southbound approaching this location and Operator 1 was unable to stop. Unit 1 struck Unit 2 in its 5 o’clock position with its 8 o’clock position. Unit 2 then impacted Unit 3 in its 7 o’clock position with its 1 o’clock position. There were periods of on and off rain on this date and the roadway was wet at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported. Operator 1 was cited with Driving Too Fast for Conditions in Magisterial District Court 52-3-03.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident – This crash occurred on May 25, 2020 at 2:03 p.m. along SR 72 South. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer, was stopped in the left turn lane at a steady red signal at the intersection of SR 72 South and Jonestown Rd. Unit 2, a 2016 Harley-Davidson, was traveling south along SR 72 in the right lane (curb). Impact occurred as Unit 1 attempted to switch into the right lane and pulled out in front of Unit 2. Both Units sustained moderate cosmetic damage from impact. Operator 2, a 58 year old Reading man, was transported to Hershey Medical Center by Life Lion EMS for injuries sustained during the crash. Unit 2 was towed by Joe May Towing. Perseverance Fire Company, Northern Lebanon Fire Company, Life Lion EMS, and Joe May Towing assisted on scene.

Harassment – On May 15, 2020 at 6:37 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to Suedberg Rd. for a harassment assault. Upon arrival, it was determined that a verbal altercation began between the Arrestee, a 56 year old Jonestown woman, and Victim 1, a 50 year old Pine Grove man. The Arrestee broke Victim 1’s glasses and struck him. The Arrestee then pulled Victim 2, a 37 year old Pine Grove woman, out of the vehicle and punched her two times in the face. Charges were filed on the Arrestee. Damage includes a pair of black eyeglasses valued at approximately $200.

DUI – On May 25, 2020 at 6:06 a.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to the 500 block of Jonestown Rd. for the report of a driver passed out at the wheel. Contact was made with the driver, Harley Williams, a 27 year old Jonestown man, who was determined to be under the influence of drugs.

Drug Possession – On May 25, 2020 at 4:15 p.m., State Police stopped a 2005 Nissan Altima at SR 72 and Allentown Blvd. Investigation revealed the Operator, Justin Souder, a 40 year old Harrisburg man, to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A passenger was also observed depositing waste on a highway. Charges are pending.

Drug Possession – On May 20, 2020 at 8:23 p.m., State Police stopped a 2020 BMW M3 at 876 I 81 South after observing traffic violations. Investigation revealed the Operator, Harry Wilson, a 35 year old Houston man, to be in possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended driver’s license. Charges are pending.
