Bethel Township

Drug Possession – On June 20, 2020 at 1:40 a.m., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Ford Mustang on Sunset Dr. and Belair Dr. It was determined the Operator had an active NCIC warrant and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending.

Theft – On June 20, 2020 at 9:54 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to South Tan Aly. for a report of an individual falsifying a doctor’s prescription. This incident is under investigation. The Victim was a 49 year old Jonestown man.

Drug Possession – On June 10, 2020 at 5:37 p.m., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Chevrolet Impala at East Main St. and North Pine Grove St. The Operator, Michael Johnson, a 32 year old Tremont man, had outstanding warrants and was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. The Operator has been charged accordingly.

Harassment – On June 11, 2020 at 8:58 p.m., PSP Jonestown was contacted by the Complainant who wished to report a physical domestic in progress, involving the Complainant and her juvenile daughter on the 100 block of North Mechanic St. Upon arrival, it was determined the juvenile female became angry and emotional tonight after being involved in several ongoing incidents/issues involving the juvenile and several county agencies. The juvenile had intentionally cut her forearm, resulting in her mother physically recovering the cutting instrument from her daughter. The juvenile continued the incident by hitting her mother several times. Upon trooper’s arrival, the parties were separated, with the juvenile complying with going to WellSpan Good Samaritan to be evaluated and speak with personnel there. The juvenile was advised she would be cited with Harassment – Summary. The Victim was a 45 year old Fredericksburg woman.

City of Lebanon

Public Drunkenness – A 32 year old North Cornwall man has been cited for Public Drunkenness on 6-21-20 at 2020 hours on the 00 block of N. 12th Street.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – A 32 year old York woman has been cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia on 6-20-20 at 0158 hours on the 100 block of N. 7th Street.

Public Drunkenness – A 55 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Drunkenness on 6-18-20 at 2014 hours on the 300 block of Spring Street.

Public Drunkenness – A 21 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Drunkenness on 6-21-20 at 2345 hours on the 1000 block of Willow Street.

Terroristic Threats – Ronald Haynes Jr. a 39 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault (domestic violence related) and Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana after an incident on 6-20-20 at 0216 hours on the 100 block of S. 11th Street. Haynes is accused of choking the 40 year old victim causing minor injury to her neck while stating “you want to die.” Haynes was apprehended and transported to LCCB. He was arraigned before MDJ Anthony Verna and incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Simple Assault – Jorge Mercado-Castro a 35 year old Lebanon resident has been charged with Simple Assault (domestic violence related), Terroristic Threats, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after an incident on 6-21-20 at 0302 hours on the 1100 block of Monument Street. Mercado is accused of pointing a handgun at the 30 year old victim and threaten he would shoot her after they were involved in a verbal argument. The victim was not injured during this incident. Mercado fled prior to police arrival but returned while police were speaking to the victim. Police discovered the handgun suspected to be pointed at the victim was a BB gun. Mercado was apprehended and transported to LCCB. He was arraigned before MDJ Anthony Verna and incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Retail Theft – A charge of Retail Theft has been filed against a 27 year old Lebanon man after investigation into a theft which occurred on 6-01-20 at 1643 hours at 337 Walnut Street. He is accused of taking merchandise totaling $1.98 without paying for said items.

Harassment – A 53 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Harassment after an incident on 6-22-20 at 1829 hours on the 400 block of New Street.

Possession – Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia have been filed against Angel Madera a 31 year old Lebanon resident after contact with police on 6-08-20 at 1810 hours on the 100 block of N. Gannon Street. Madera was arrested on a warrant from the Lebanon City Police Department for simple assault domestic violence. He was incarcerated at LCCF on the warrant.

Heidelberg Township

Corruption Of Minors – On May 23, 2020 at approximately 2:20 p.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown were dispatched to the 1,000 block of Heidelberg Ave. to investigate claims of a possible child pornography incident. Through investigation, troopers learned that on two separate occasions, possible pornographic images of minors were observed on the Suspect’s computer. Troopers from PSP Jonestown are currently investigating the incident.

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – Between May 20, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. and May 21, 2020 at 7:00 a.m., PSP Jonestown was contacted by the Victim’s mother who wished to report her son’s 2003 Honda Sedan that was displayed for sale on their front yard, on Albright Rd., had damage to the driver’s side window. Upon trooper’s arrival, it was determined that an unknown vehicle drove through the grass yard of the property up to the left side of the Victim’s vehicle and shot the left side of the vehicle with small metal bbs. The unknown vehicle and Actor(s) fled in an unknown direction, believed to have occurred sometime overnight. The Victim was a 20 year old Myerstown man. The Victim’s mother was a 51 year old Myerstown woman. PSP Jonestown is investigating.

Cruelty To Animals – On June 12, 2020 at 1:26 p.m., PSP Jonestown was contacted by the Complainant who wished to report concerns of animal cruelty involving four horses who appeared to be very skinny and possibly neglected. Upon trooper’s arrival at the reported associated residence, located on the 100 block of Cherry Lane Rd., it was determined there are eight horses on the property, with the Complainant not specifically relating which four horses she wished to report as they were all of similar color and were the same breed. It was immediately observed the homeowners were actively caring for the eight horses, who were just fed, had water, and were having their bedding changed at that moment. Upon speaking with the homeowner, it was determined they make money by obtaining/buying neglected horses and bringing them back to health to resell for profit. Additionally, it was determined they have only had the current eight horses for approximately one week and never keep them very long as they have typically recovered to full health in a short period of time. No neglect or animal cruelty, in addition to any criminal activity, was observed at this time.

Criminal Trespass – On June 12, 2020 at 3:06 p.m., PSP Jonestown was contacted by the Complainant who wished to report his juvenile child witnessing what he described as a firearm round travel through their backyard, located on the 200 block of Sheep Hill Rd. The rear of their property is situated northeast of the Heidelberg Sportmen’s Association and could be considered in “close proximity” to the gun range. During the investigation, it was determined a former member of the club, along with three unauthorized guests, had been shooting on the range without permission during the approximate time of the incident. The Victim was a 12 year old Newmanstown male. PSP Jonestown is investigating.

Jackson Township

Open Lewdness – On June 21, 2020 at 5:45 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to the 400 block of West Main Ave. for a report of a middle aged man walking around almost nude outside his house in view of his neighbors. The investigation is ongoing.

Death By Natural Causes – On June 22, 2020 at approximately 8:52 a.m., the Complainant called PSP Jonestown to report they discovered the Victim deceased in the living room of the residence on the 2,000 block of Birch Rd. There were no signs of suspicious activity. The Victim was Ella Weaver, a 78 year old Lebanon woman. PSP Jonestown is investigating.

Millcreek Township

Indecent Assault – PSP Jonestown is investigating a Harassment complaint involving a worker and a customer on June 21, 2020 at 3:29 p.m. The Victim was a 27 year old Ephrata woman. The investigation is ongoing.

Assault – On June 21, 2020 at 5:24 p.m., PSP Jonestown was contacted by the Complainant/Victim who wished to report he was just assaulted by someone he knew. Upon trooper’s arrival, it was determined the Victim and Arrestee engaged in an escalated verbal confrontation on the 20 block of West Main St. The Arrestee then placed his arm around the Victim’s head/neck and performed a wrestling style take down move, verbally threatening the Victim while doing so. The Arrestee was charged with Summary Harassment and Disorderly Conduct, however, it was determined the Victim had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear, reference incident PA2020-868782, with the Victim being transported to Lebanon County Central Booking. The Arrestee was Benjamin Ober, a 31 year old Lebanon man. The Victim was a 30 year old Newmanstown man.

Myerstown Borough

Assault – On June 14, 2020 at approximately 8:38 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to a juvenile’s residence for the complaint of an assault. During the investigation, it was determined that two juvenile males engaged in a fight at the Myerstown Park. State Police are still investigating.

Harassment – On May 31, 2020 at 8:00 p.m., PSP Jonestown was contacted by the Complainant who wished to report concerns/issues involving his girlfriend’s children and a neighborhood 10-year-old male, having occurred two nights prior, on East Center Ave. The Complainant reported the incident was initially attempted to be handled civilly between everyone involved and their parents/guardians. Since then, the Complainant felt a police report was required, after having suspicion that the issue would not be properly addressed civilly. PSP Jonestown is investigating.

North Lebanon Township

Fatal Accident – On June 15, 2020, at 12:30 p.m. in the area of Hill Street, Carlos Rivera, a 55 year old Lebanon man, was traveling north on Route 72, crossed over into the southbound lane and struck the vehicle of Jessica Romanoff, a 72 year old Jonestown woman, head-on. Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene and Romanoff died at the hospital. (Editor’s note: In accordance with our policy on fatal crashes, we have included the names of the deceased.)

DUI – Ben Eisenhauer – age 24, Lebanon was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after a hit and run accident that occurred in the 300 block of Ebenezer Road on May 17, 2020.

Burglary – Luis Cruz-Rodriguez – age 24 – No address was charged with burglary, simple assault and harassment after an incident that occurred on June 4, 2020, in the 300 block of Weavertown Road.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident – On June 20, 2020 at 11:56 a.m., a 58 year old Palmyra woman was cited for Following Too Closely after causing a rear-end collision with a vehicle operated by a 48 year old Palmyra woman. The crash occurred at the intersection of Forge Rd. and Fir St.

South Londonderry Township

Public Drunkenness – On May 24, 2020 at approximately 9:04 p.m., the police department was dispatched to the 20 block of West Market St. for a report of a subject threatening residents. Upon arrival, police made contact with a 43 year old Palmyra man. He was observed walking back and forth between the public roadway and the 20 block of West Market St. At the time of the incident, the man displayed signs of apparent intoxication. A charge of Public Drunkenness were subsequently filed.

Vehicle Accident – On June 19, 2020 at 3:45 p.m., the South Londonderry police department was dispatched to the 2,000 block of South Forge Rd. for a report of a single vehicle accident. Following a subsequent investigation, it was determined that a small SUV had struck a utility pole. No one was injured as a result of the incident. The Operator was a 46 year old Palmyra man.

Vehicle Accident – On June 19, 2020 at 12:29 p.m., the South Londonderry police department was dispatched to the 200 block of Lawn Rd. for a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Following a subsequent investigation, it was determined that a Sedan had struck a garbage truck. One driver was transported to the hospital. The Operators were an 89 year old Palmyra woman and a 55 year old Reinholds man. The police department was assisted by the Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company, Fire Police, and Life Lion EMS.

Harassment, Public Drunkenness – On June 20, 2020 at 5:45 p.m., South Londonderry Twp. police department responded to a noise complaint in the 400 block of Springbrook Dr. There, the South Londonderry Twp. police encountered a 22 year old Palmyra man, and he was found to be in the public under the influence of alcohol. While being transported to Central Booking, he made comments that were harassing in nature to the public and the police officer.

Hazardous Material Incident – On June 22, 2020 at 9:13 a.m., the South Londonderry Twp. police department, Campbelltown Fire Company, and Lebanon County Hazmat team were dispatched to the 100 block of Carriage Crt. for a hazardous waste exposure. A worker with Waste Management was exposed to an acidic substance while picking up trash in the area. The worker was transported to the hospital. The area was made safe by the Hazmat team. The incident is still under investigation at this time.

Swatara Township

Theft – On June 15, 2020 at 2:30 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to Lighthouse Dr. for a theft involving scammers. The Victims, a 20 year old Jonestown woman and a 20 year old Fredericksburg man, reported they were searching for a house to rent on apartments.com. The Victims reported they made contact with the Suspect via website, email, and text messages. The Victims were eventually scammed out of $2,600.

Terroristic Threats – On June 11, 2020, between 8:00 a.m. and 7:34 p.m., PSP Jonestown was contacted by the Complainant who had concerns in relation to a former tenant who was recently evicted by her husband, approximately a week ago, from property they managed on Mountville Dr. She attempted to civilly make arrangements with that male to collect his belongings from her residence, however, when the male subject arrived, a verbal altercation occurred between the male subject and another male who resides at her property. The male subject then entered a shed full of tools, without permission, and then left the property. The Complainant became concerned when her current male tenant received threatening video messages from the male subject, which was the reason she called 911 to report this. The Victims were a 63 year old Lebanon woman and a 43 year old Lebanon man. PSP Jonestown is investigating.

Union Township

Harassment – On June 15, 2020 at 6:25 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to Maple Ln. for a physical domestic. Upon arrival, it was determined that two sons, a 22 year old Annville man and a 24 year old Annville man, and a father, a 48 year old Jonestown man, were involved with a physical altercation with each other. Charges were filed.

Assault – On June 15, 2020 at 8:07 p.m., PSP Jonestown was made aware of a physical altercation currently happening in a vehicle on Jonestown Rd. Through the investigation, it was determined that two males, a 50 year old Jonestown man and a 77 year old Jonestown man, were in the back of the vehicle arguing, which turned into a physical altercation. Charges will be filed.

West Lebanon Township

Retail Theft – A 42 year old Fleetwood man was charged with retail theft after an incident at Boscov’s, Lebanon Valley Mall, after failing to pay for $85 worth of merchandise.
