Here are the most recent food safety violations in Lebanon County, as documented by Pennsylvania’s Department of Agriculture.

Inspections are taken as a “snapshot” of the day and time, and should not necessarily be taken as overall indicators of an establishment’s cleanliness. Violations are often corrected prior to the inspector leaving the site. Restaurants were found to be in compliance unless otherwise noted.

The ice spout of one soda fountain, a food contact surface, was observed to have a pink residue and was not clean to sight and touch.

3 – 501.17 Ready-to-Eat, Time/Temperature Control for Safety Food, Date Marking
Commercially processed ready to eat food, located in the refrigerator, and held more than 48 hours, is not being marked with the date it was opened. Specifically, chicken salad and meat toppings for pizza were not dated. The chicken salad was discarded by the PIC. Tuna salad labeled with a use by date of 7/10/20 was present. Discarded.

4 – 602.13 Nonfood-Contact Surfaces
Heavy frost built up on the interior sides of the ice cream novelty freezer; ice cannot be cleaned.

6 – 301.11 Handwashing Cleanser, Availability
No sign or poster posted at the handwash sink in the men’s room to remind food employees to wash their hands.

4 – 101.11 Characteristics – Materials for Construction and Repair
Food contact surface of several steam table pans used for hot holding are badly deteriorated and no longer smooth or easily cleanable.
