Bethel Township

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On Aug. 23, 2020 at approximately 11:46 p.m., an unknown Actor(s) approached the Slope Valley Rd., overpass of I 81, by unknown means. The Actor(s) then threw/dropped an egg from the overpass, striking an ambulance traveling north on I 81 near mile marker 96.8. The unknown Actor(s) then fled the area by unknown means, in an unknown direction, to an unknown location. The Victim was Commonwealth Health of Scranton, PA. The vehicle involved was a 2018 Ford.

Theft – On Aug. 24, 2020 at approximately 11:17 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to the area of Shirksville Rd. and Blue Mountain Rd. in Bethel Twp. for a report of a theft. Upon arrival, members of the Bethel Twp. Road Crew reported two white 48 inch by 30 inch “Road Closed” signs as being stolen. The signs were valued at $500.00 each and were attached to a metal stand with orange and white caution markings on it. One sign was taken from Shirksville Rd., at its intersection with Blue Mountain Rd., while the other was taken from the east side of the bridge on Shirksville Rd. over Earlakill Run creek. The theft was believed to have occurred between 3:00 p.m. on Aug. 23, 2020 and 11:00 a.m. on Aug. 24, 2020. A neighborhood canvass was conducted with negative results. No investigative leads were immediately available. The Victim was Bethel Twp. Harassment – On Aug. 24, 2020 at 3:37 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to Greble Rd. for a report of a verbal domestic. Investigation revealed the Arrestee, a 32 year old Lebanon man, was not letting the Victim, a 34 year old Lebanon woman, leave from the residence and was cited with Harassment. PSP is investigating.

Vehicle Accident – On Aug. 24, 2020 at 8:21 a.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2008 Ford Econoline E350, was traveling north on SR 343 just south of its intersection with Sherwin Williams Rd. Unit 2, a 2017 Lincoln-Continental MKC, was traveling south on SR 343 just north of its intersection with Sherwin Williams Rd. and crossed the double-yellow line, entering the northbound lane of travel. Unit 1 exited the northbound travel lane and crossed the right shoulder of the roadway before entering the grass median just beyond the right shoulder of the roadway. Unit 1 was driven from the grass median by Operator 1. No contact occurred between Unit 1 and Unit 2. Neither Operator 1 nor Operator 2 suffered any injuries. Neither Unit 1 nor Unit 2 sustained any damage or required towing. PSP Jonestown assisted by troopers Dell and Lear.

Jackson Township

Theft – On Aug. 14, 2020 at 9:40 a.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to East Lincoln Ave. for reports of a theft. Upon further investigation, it was determined a former employee of Countryside Fuels had been writing fraudulent checks to himself since 2017. Between 2017 and 2020, the employee, Marlin Durrell Nolt had written 29 checks to himself, stealing a total of $94,450.02 from Countryside Fuels. The Victim was a 42 year old Womelsdorf man. Appropriate charges have been filed.

Drug Possession – On Aug. 7, 2020 at approximately 3:58 a.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to SR 422 east of Ramona Rd. for a disabled motorist in a 2008 Ford Fusion. Upon locating the vehicle, paraphernalia was seen in plain view and a subsequent search of the vehicle yielded suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia. Troopers are investigating.

North Cornwall Township

Drug Possession – On Aug. 6, 2020 at 4:40 p.m., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 Honda Civic at Quentin Rd. and Rocherty Rd. after observing an equipment violation. Investigation revealed the three occupants to be in possession of methamphetamine and heroin. Charges are pending.

North Lebanon Township

Aggravated Assault By A Motor Vehicle, DUI, Reckless Endangerment – Patrick Embry, a 47 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Aggravated Assault of a Motor Vehicle, Driving Under the Influence, Recklessly Endangering, and several traffic violations as a result of an incident that occurred in the 1,800 block of Rt. 72 on Jan. 12, 2020.

North Londonderry Township

Retail Theft – Dylan Savidge, a 23 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Retail Theft after failing to pay for approximately $410.00 in merchandise at Wal-Mart on three occasions.

Retail Theft – On Aug. 17, 2020 at 1:25 p.m., Alyssa Taveras, a 22 year old Lebanon resident, was observed by Wal-Mart Loss Prevention utilizing the self-checkout register, utilizing a lower-priced UPC code to pay for higher-priced items. Taveras was charged with Retail Theft for under-ringing. The amount stolen was $172.91. Charges were filed with DJ Garver’s office.

Swatara Township

Drug Possession, Speeding – On Aug. 26, 2020 at approximately 9:03 a.m., troopers were conducting speed enforcement on the 900 block of I 81 South near mile marker 95. A 21 years old woman was operating a 2004 Honda Odyssey. She was stopped for speeding. Upon further investigation, a small amount of suspected marijuana was discovered inside of the vehicle. Charges will be filed for Drug Possession and Speeding.

Union Township

Burglary – On Aug. 4, 2020 at 11:04 p.m., members of PSP Jonestown responded to the 400 block of Jonestown Rd. for a reported burglary. Investigation into this incident has determined that unknown Actor(s) gained entry into the residence via a locked door sometime on Aug. 4, 2020 between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. While inside, the unknown Actor(s) proceeded to remove valuables to include a black Remington 870 shotgun valued at $500.00, a black cutoff “Beast” t-shirt valued at $25.00, a Great Value pickle jar containing several dollars in change valued at $5.00, a bottle of Sherwin Williams brand hand sanitizer valued at $5.00, and a damascus fixed blade pocketknife with a buffalo horn handle valued at $100.00. The unknown Actor(s) proceeded to flee the scene in an unknown direction, by an unknown means of travel. The Victim was a 37 year old Jonestown Boro. man. Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194 and reference PA2020-1082212.

Prohibited Offensive Weapons – On Aug. 21, 2020 at 11:28 p.m., at SR 72 and Allentown Blvd., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop. The Operator of the vehicle, a 1998 Ford Windstar, was found to be in possession of a taser. Charges are to be filed.

West Lebanon Township

Drug Possession – Anderson Rangel-Barrios, a 22 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia and several traffic violations after an incident in the 1,800 block of Willow St. on Aug. 19, 2020.
