Lebanon-based rapper Michael Wavves is gearing up for his first national tour.
Wavves – the stage name of Lebanon Middle School social studies teacher Jordan Bleyer – will be touring across the country July 10 to Aug. 2 with artist and TikTok star danny G. The “Content Overload Tour” tour will be centered around both live shows and creating unique social media content while on the road.
The duo will be traveling in a 15-passenger tour van along with tour manager Sam Saideman and a crew that includes a DJ, a content creator, and an intern who will serve as assistant tour manager.
The tour has been nearly half a year in the making, said Bleyer. It’s taken “an immense amount of help from my booking agent with booking and organizing the dates.”
“I have played a few of the cities on this tour before, but a large amount of the cities are brand new markets for danny G and myself, so we are really testing the waters and building the foundation to both of our fanbases on this tour run,” he said.
“A foundation that we can hopefully leverage into larger opportunities moving forward to continue increasing our reach and build our fanbases in hopes of having this be our full-time careers.”
The tour includes a number of popular clubs, including regional venues The Dolphin in Philadelphia and Tellus360 in Lancaster.
“This tour is an example of looking over the edge of the cliff and jumping into calculated risk and the unknown, betting on ourselves and believing in our ability and hard work to manifest our dreams and the visions we’ve had since we starting pursuing music,” said Bleyer.
