Fort Indiantown Gap will host trainings this month that could result in increased noise levels for Lebanon County residents.

Demolition training will be held Tuesday, July 5, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Air insertion training will be held from July 15 to July 30 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Helicopter door gunnery training will be held July 21 to July 29 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Fort Indiantown Gap will also host water bucket training on Monday, July 25, and Tuesday, July 26, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Helicopter crews will practice by retrieving water from Memorial Lake and dumping it in a nearby field.

Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live-fire and maneuver military base in Pennsylvania. It is considered the nation’s largest National Guard training facility by number of mandays trained – close to one million annually.
