LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Our Pet of the Week sometimes is a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the weekly column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Bebe!
Bebe, according to Sue, a shelter volunteer at the Humane Society of Lebanon County, is a German shepherd mix who’s about 18 months old.
She was surrendered to the shelter because she didn’t get along with other animals in her previous home,” a shelter rep explained.
“Bebe is such a sweet lady that absolutely loves everyone she meets! She is a big goofy girl, still very puppy-like at times, and loves running around in the yard and playing with all of the toys. You can always catch her with a smile on her face!”
“She is learning how to play ball right now,” Sue noted, although she is still working on the whole “dropping” part of the game. She has the catching part down pat.
“She has lots of energy. She is great at keeping herself entertained as well,” she added. “She is very treat motivated and loves to learn. Bebe would do amazing in a home with older kids and would make a great family dog. Bebe is such a wonderful lady who would make her humans smile and laugh every single day!”
Are you looking to add a dog to your home? Because of past experiences, shelter reps believe Bebe would “thrive best as the only animal in the home” but, they noted, “she has so much love to give, you only need her! She is young, so training and consistency would be beneficial, too.” ”Please help us find Bebe her new beginning,” Sue asked.
