Tuesday, The South Londonderry Township Board of Supervisors unanimously agreed to advertise the Rising Sun conditional use request to be discussed at their meeting April 11.

Cornwall Borough Council agreed on Monday to apply for a grant for $250,000 from the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and match that amount for phase one of Snitz Creek Park development.

At Tuesday’s meeting, Jonestown Borough Council handled routine business including continuing plans for the 12th Annual Block Party.

Monday, the South Londonderry Historical Commission (SLHC) met with Alan Funck, Rising Sun owner, and Randy Wright, Hanover Engineering, to discuss the Rising Sun expansion project. The project involves the renovation of part of an historic structure and the demolition of another part.

Amidst water and sewer price hikes from City of Lebanon Authority (COLA), Cornwall Borough Council is negotiating with Elizabethtown for possible purchase of the Open Pit.

Ten North Lebanon Streets are planned for paving this summer, following the postponement of several last year.

Cornwall Borough Council opted to table action on a proposed A/V Professional Services update, estimated at approximately $49,000, until its next meeting on Feb. 13.

At Tuesday’s meeting, Jonestown Borough Council appointed David Charest as councilman. This comes after former Councilman Don Raiger resigned in December.

Wednesday, the North Cornwall Planning Commission unanimously conditionally approved a preliminary/final land development plan (LDP) for a new Sheetz location at 2150 W. Cumberland St.

Residents filled the seats at Monday’s North Lebanon Township Board of Supervisors meeting to speak their mind on a considered zoning amendment for parts of 1675 and 1677 Grace Ave.
