Mayor Sherry Capello today announced that the City and Downtown Lebanon’s Main Street Economic Vitality Committee consisting of members: Chair Brad Longenecker, Main Street Manager Amy Kopecky, John Tice, Rodney Royer, Ari Sznajder, John Bower and Mayor Capello are releasing a new promotional video designed to highlight the amount of investment made in the City over the last five years while citing the “Top 10 Reasons to Invest in Lebanon City”.

According to the PA Downtown Center, the Main Street program is a comprehensive, community-based approach to revitalizing downtowns and central business districts, which has been applied across the United States since the early ’80s. The Main Street Approach is centered around Transformation Strategies, which articulate a focused, deliberate path to revitalizing or strengthening a downtown or commercial district’s economy. The work is organized around four points: Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion, and Organization. The goal of the Economic Vitality Committee is to focus on capital, incentives, and other economic and financial tools to assist new and existing businesses, catalyze property development, and create a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and innovators that drive a local economy.

Mayor Capello stated, “While the promotional video is designed to attract investment in the City, as a whole, the downtown is the hub and focus of the City’s revitalization efforts. Since taking office, I have stressed the success of the City depends upon the success of its downtown.”

The video lasts 2 minutes and 48 seconds and was produced by Savi You, a local videographer. Capello added, “The video is a new tool that will help someone interested in committing capital to better understand why Lebanon City is attractive for investment.” The video will launch virtually on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom.
