A local eighty-six year old Korean War Veteran was offered help to clean up the exterior of his property. Over the past year, “Your Six Veteran Services” brought in a group of their veteran volunteers and equipment several times to clean up and remove 26 tons of refuse from the premises. By completing this challenging task, they helped the homeowner comply with Lebanon City Codes.

Your Six Veteran Services, based in Lancaster and founded by Marine veteran Ed Poorman, is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting fellow veterans in need. When a veteran says they have “Your Six,” they are letting you know that they have your back. For more information about this group visit their webpage or Facebook page.

The City of Lebanon wants to give a big shout-out to all those who made this clean-up possible: Ed Poorman, Miquel Fabregas, Andrew Boyack, Joe Middleton, Jr. Josue Crespo, Patrick Breitbach, Keith Brown, Matt West, “Doc” Herb Wilson, Jennifer Cahill, Deven Dewald and the rest of the team from Your Six Veterans Services, Veteran Professional Lawn Service, Middleton Masonry, and the Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority. We thank these veterans for their commitment to not only their fellow veterans, but to our community as well – they got all of our backs!

In honor of all of those who have served our country in war or peace we thank our veterans for their sacrifices. We salute you on this Veteran’s Day!
