Next week Thursday September 13 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm the Annville Free Library will host an hour-long course taught by the Capital Area Beekeepers Association about the fundamentals of beekeeping.

This free “Finding Independence Through Technology” course is sponsored by the Bishop Foundation. Participants are requested to RSVP through the library by calling 717-867-1802. (See more FITT courses here.)

Expect to learn answers to questions like:

  • What are the parts of a bee hive?
  • Where to buy all this stuff?
  • When should I begin?
  • What will this hobby cost?
  • How much honey will my bees make?
  • How do I install and feed package bees?

Handouts will be provided to share additional information that you can take home.

The Annville Free Library is located off 422 two blocks east of 934 intersection, across from a fire station at the corner of East Main and Killinger streets.

The Library is supported by donors, and you can access the donation page here.
