Police said that Richard Lee Via of Jonestown crossed the double yellow line before hitting and killing Harrison Fenstemaker, who was riding a motorcycle. Fenstemaker was wearing a helmet and attempted to avoid the swerving driver, but was dislodged from his motorcycle and found dead at the scene.

According to reports, Via was held for showing signs of impairment.

Fenstemaker was 17 and a senior at Central Dauphin. Last night a vigil was held at Koon’s Park in Linglestown.

Central Dauphin confirmed Harrison’s identity to parents and students yesterday and posted a statement on social media this evening.

A number of Harrison’s friends took to social media to share remembrances of the Central Dauphin offensive lineman. One friend said that Harrision was supposed to her and his girlfriend after the ride, but never returned a text.
