An event for dog lovers will be held at the Lebanon Expo Center on March 30 by Susquehanna Service Dogs.

Advance tickets for the event are available online $10 for adults and $4 for children ages 5-10. At the door, prices will be $15 for adults and $5 for children. Dogs, of course, are free. The event will run from 9am to 4pm.

This is the first time the event has been held in five years. Organizers say that a number of previous activities will be coming back this time, with some new ones added as well.

Among the activities you’ll find are a Temptation Tower in which handlers can attempt to build the highest tower of dog biscuits while their dog watches. Another will be a Lure Course where dogs can chase a lure to burn off their energy.

Other activities include a kissing booth from a future service dog, a dog wash area, a kids area, and a variety of tips and training sessions. The Lure Course and training sessions cost extra with admission, $5 per run and $30 in advance/$50 at the door, respectively.

Vendors at the event will include Brandt’s Mill, Caring Hearts Pet Therapy, Invisible Fence of Harrisburg, and more.

The Grantville-based nonprofit Susquehanna Service Dogs pairs people with service dogs to assist them in becoming more independent. To date the organization has placed more than 300 service dogs in the region.
